AAA History

Bernard and Warrene moved to New Orleans where he was employed as a chemical engineer to restart the only pure nickel refinery in the US. The refinery was shut down at the beginning of the Castro regime in Cuba. Warrene taught pre-school and was a great teacher of our two children. We became serious gardeners in the late 1980's and noticed a need for improved garden markers as we toured convention gardens. The marking on many plants was totally inadequate. As a result, it was decided to start an operation to manufacture improved garden markers that would have a lifespan of at least 10 years. AAA Quality Engravers was founded in 1991 in New Orleans. Initially, as avid gardeners, our express purpose was to provide quality garden markers at affordable prices for friends & home gardeners as well as for larger botanical gardens. More than one million garden markers have been produced since then. As time passed, AAA has produced engraved boat panels and tags for use by the military. Chemical plants and off-shore oil platforms use AAA engraved gages, signs, and equipment tags. Hotels, hospitals, churches and other enterprises order employee name tags as well as desk, door, and various other signs. Numerous garden societies use AAA club name tags. AAA supplies signs for nature & walking trails, arboretums, many universities, as well as major buildings in Washington and New York. AAA markets hundreds of photo recognition plaques for various events including graduation, fishing, hunting, racing, sports, etc.

It is interesting to note that during hurricane Katrina, AAA sustained no damage and continued to operate the business during the Katrina recovery period. The soft 2008 economic period was an additional blow to the New Orleans area. This resulted in a decision to relocate the business from the New Orleans area to the current location in Mississippi. We continue to serve our customers and rebuild the business. We are one of the lowest cost engraving businesses located in the United States.
